Steve was an ERRS member and motorman for close to fifteen years, Steve retired from the position of Roadmaster for the High Level Bridge streetcar line towards the end of the 2021 operating season after serving in that position for ten years. He was instrumental in raising the standards of maintenance of the streetcar line to where it is in excellent, safe condition. He regularly inspected and cared for the track, especially with his favourite car 247. And he really enjoyed being one of the first motormen to take a streetcar to Whyte Avenue.
Steve worked for many years for Edmonton Public Schools. He applied his signs and painting experience with the painting of streetcars and lettering and numbers such as those on cars 33 and 42.
