Linda Kay Reames, age 77 of Murphysboro, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 in her home.
On November 17, 1946 she was born in Murphysboro to Cyrus and Helen Fisher.
Linda married Joe Tom Reames on December 11, 1976. They shared over 40 years of making wonderful memories. Joe preceded her in death on December 17, 2011.
She had worked for Hardees in the kitchen for over 20 years. She also ran a daycare in her home for 10 years. She loved going to yard sales and enjoyed working in her flower garden.
Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, Mike McCall of Murphysboro; Rhonda (Jerry) Collier of Murphysboro and Angie (Kevin) Deaton of Wood River; step-children, Kathy (Danny) Mayhugh of Carterville; Lavina (Mike) Thomas of Cabot, AR; and Joey (Bonita) Reames of WA; grandchildren, Derek McCall, Jacob McCall, Emilie Collier, Justin Collier, Kasey Deaton, Kody Deaton, Kelsey Aud, Tiffany McCall, Amy Gentry, Chad Burkes, Mollie Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Destiny Reames and Austin Reames; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; son, Neil McCall and siblings, Alta; Clifton; Ray and Joseph Fisher and an infant brother, Chester Fisher.
Funeral Services for Linda Kay Reames will be Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 7:00 pm in Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Frye officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the hour of service.
Cremation rites will follow after the service. Inurnment will be a later date in Mount Zion Cemetery, Rock, Illinois.
