She is a native of Ware County, but she lived most of her life in Savannah before moving back to Waycross a few years ago. She retired from Great Dane Trailers and was a former member of Asbury Memorial Methodist Church and the Busy Bees in Savannah. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is the daughter of the late Lennon Woodard and Nancy Strickland Woodard. She is the wife of the late Charles Norwood Wingfield, Jr.
Mrs. Wingfield is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2003) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
