Kathryn Leonard Mennen of Chester died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at her home at Hideway Farm in Chester. She was 84. She was born on Dec. 17, 1921, in Newark and lived in Chester and in Sarasota, Fla. Her first husband, Ira Leonard, died previously; and her second husband of 54 years, George S. Mennen, chairman of the board of The Mennen Company, maker of health and beauty aids, also died previously. Survivors include a daughter, Christina M. Andrea of Plano, Texas; a son, John H. Mennen of Chester; two stepsons, William G. Mennen III of Chester, and G. Jeff Mennen of Bernardsville; and five grandchildren. Funeral services and interment were private. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, N.Y. 10016. Arrangements are by the William J. Leber Funeral Home, Chester.
