Judith Ann Mowery, 21, of 4535 North Lincoln Avenue, Ravenswood, IL, was tragically taken into God's hands on Tuesday, November 7, 1972. Sometime after 7:30 PM, she was brutally murdered after being fatally stabbed with a knife nine times in the chest and back. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Saint Gregory High School, worked as a clerk typist for the Cook County assessor's office, a charter member and past president of Junior Amvets Post 243 of Chicago and a member of Saint Gregory Court #650. Beloved daughter of Robert William and Dolores Leona (nee Smith) Nieder. Loving sister of Robert William II, Elizabeth Lehnert, John, Timothy and Tammy. Fond granddaughter of Hattie Smith and Harry and Sarah Mowery. Visitation was offered on Friday, November 10, 1972 at 3 PM in the Pfaff Funeral Home, 5001 Lincoln Avenue, Lincoln Square, IL 60625. The funeral was arranged in the funeral home on Saturday, November 11, 1972 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass conducted at 10 AM in the Queen of Angels Church, 2330 West Sunnyside Avenue, Ravenswood Gardens, IL 60625.
