Actress. She was best known to both film and television viewers for the character roles she had in numerous films and television series from the late 1940s to the early 1960s. Born Joan Katherine Eunson, her parents were both Hollywood writers. She had some stage experience when she was signed by producer Samuel Goldwyn to appear in the film "Roseanna McCoy" in 1949. This was her film debut and she would go on to appear in such films as "Skirts Ahoy!," "Column South," A Strange Adventure," and "The Walking Target." In 1951, she made her television debut on the series "The Billy Rose Show." Her later television credits would include such series as "Climax!," "Cheyenne," "77 Sunset Strip," "Zorro," and "Outlaws." She stepped aside from acting in the early 1960s to care for her family and later was an editor of Hollywood Studio Magazine and a teacher at the Carden Academy in Van Nuys, California.
