She was born Dec. 31, 1916, to William H. and Mary Pearl Kizer Lloyd. She married Samuel D. (Dell) White on May 16, 1936, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dell passed away Aug 16, 1996. Ida was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions, her favorites being Relief Society president and YW president. She retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1977 following 26 years of service. She was a charter member and the first woman president of the Tooele Bit and Spur riding club. In keeping with these interests, she was instrumental in organizing and became the first secretary of the Utah High School Rodeo Assn. Ida was also a former member and past president of the Tooele Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary.She is survived by her son, Gene D. (Carolyn) White, Tooele; daughters, Colleen (Scott) Beveridge, Marion, IL; Karen (Tom) Tate, Tooele; Marilyn (Larry) Allen, Lehi; sisters, Maxine (Clint) Dymock; Katherine (Ned) Boswell; and two very special cousins, Beverly Winn and Teri (Max) Nicholes. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dell and son, Kenneth, and one brother, Paul Bushner.
Funeral services will be held Mon. Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. in the Tooele Middle Canyon LDS Church, 1100 East Skyline Dr. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary, Sunday Jan. 3, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
