Kathleen Ann Koeck, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 2, 2023 at Waupun Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 3, 1937 to the late Frank and Barbara (Daniels) Lambeseder.
Kathy married William Koeck on October 15, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. The two of them ran a successful family diner in Mayville, Wisconsin for 26 years before retiring from their business. Koeck's Restaurant was the local hangout for many generations of high school kids, local workers and the residents of Mayville.
Kathy enjoyed painting, playing cards, cooking, gardening, and listening to music. Rummage sales were her go to activity. She loved a good sale. She loved spending time with her family (especially the babies) and her girls card club.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill, son Joseph (Laurie) Koeck, daughters Mary (Jeff) Schwarze and Jacquelyn (Louie) Koeck, grandchildren Nicole Apollo, Christina (Trey) Mitchell, Brad Schwarze, Laura (Dakota) Tatum and Taylor Koeck, great grandchildren Hudson, Mercedes, Baylee, Caden, Sarae, Texas, California and Colorado, great great grandson River. She is further survived by sisters Carol Koenig and Barbara (Jerry) Wonser, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her sister Mary Leon and brother Lawrence Lambeseder.
SERVICES: Kathy's relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation to Zacherl Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum – Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac at 2:00 p.m.
