University Educator. Radiologic Technologist. Dr. Gibson was a 1965 graduate of Bluefield HS in Bluefield, WV. She received her Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University and taught at Armstrong Atlantic State University for more than 25 years where she was Professor and Chairman of Radiologic Technology. She was past president of the Savannah and the Georgia Societies of Radiologic Technologists, recipient of the H. Dean Propst Award for Academic Excellence, and was selected to give the Marjorie Tolan Honorary Lecture in 1990. Dr. Gibson was a published author in numerous professional journals. She died of breast cancer.
