He was killed during the VietNam War on Mar 08, 1969 in Thua Thien, South Veitnam a casualty of the war, His death was a result of hostile small arms ground fire. Cpl Alvey's body was recovered and he was returned home to his family for burial. His dogtags state he was a Catholic from Morganfield, KY.
Survived by his parents, Alfred E and Gertrude Alvey Sr, and his 2 sisters; Nancy and Karen Alvey.
