Evyleen Harrison Wilson

Evyleen Harrison Wilson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 20, 1925 in Leola, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John Allen "Al" and Bessie Harrison. She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a former member of Sweet Home-Home Demonstration Club, V.F.W., and Grant County Fair Board. She was a charter member of AARP, having the first meeting in her home. She worked for the Grant County Senior Citizens Center. She loved flowers and making quilts. She sold many of her quilts in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. On one trip to the flea market at Canton, Texas, she sold one man 27 quilts, over the 17 she went there with. The last few years she spent her time making lap robes and taking them to the V.A. Hospital.
Mrs. Wilson died, Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 84. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Bobby Wingard and Clarence Lee Wingard; daughter, June Ryan; sister, Sudie Mayo; and brother, John Harrison.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will follow in Leola Cemetery.
