Christine C. Gates, 67, of Glendale Avenue, Liverpool, died Tuesday at home. Mrs. Gates was born in Spartanburg, S.C., and had resided in Liverpool for 40 years. Her husband, Gerry, died in 1989. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Linda Sablitz of Connecticut; two sons, David of Baldwinsville and Randy of Liverpool; a brother, J.B. Cox of South Carolina; a sister, Helen Lancaster of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sears-Middleton Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
