Wayne J. Bourgoyne, Sr., passed away peacefully at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice surrounded by his family on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the age of 76. He was a retired millwright with Syngenta; resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Wayne was a US Army Veteran. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 9:30am until religious services at 12pm, conducted by Pastor Jamie Dwyer. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Wayne is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathy Bourgoyne; children, Michelle Mabile and husband Matt, Rachel Oubre and husband Randy, Wayne Bourgoyne, Jr. and wife Nicole, and Matthew Bourgyone and wife Jenner; grandchildren, Breanne Babin, Maci Marse, Daniel Boudreaux, Amber Boudreaux, Madison Oubre, Whittney Bourgoyne, Hannah Ramagos, Hailee Ramagos, Kade Bourgoyne, Gavin Bourgoyne, Jace Bourgoyne and Colban Judice; eight great grandchildren; sister, Ann Cole and husband Gary; one niece; and two nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Chancelor Bourgoyne; parents, Sibby and Doris Tullier Bourgoyne; and brothers, Sibby and Lester Bourgoyne. Pallbearers will be Wayne Bourgoyne, Jr., Matthew Bourgoyne, Gavin Bourgoyne, Jace Bourgoyne, Kade Bourgoyne, and Lester Bourgoyne, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will Les Verret, Wylie Ladner, Claude Mckenzie, Shannon Darrow, Cody Richard, and Colban Judice. Wayne loved to go on levee rides with his dog Jake.
