Eva Sheets, 79, of 130 West Deer St., Gladwin, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Charleston, W. Va., on November 20, 1896, she moved to Oil City in 1932 and to Gladwin County in 1938. The former Eva Harless, she was married to Dennis F. Sheets on September 11, 1912, in Lincoln County, W. Va. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1972, in Kalamazoo.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Sersaw of Gladwin, Mrs. Marie Miller and Mrs. Lena Morgan of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Leo of Beaverton; 35 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Shoaff officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 9-8/1976 Column - 6 Page - 2.
