Burial record in the sexton's ledger book shows: a child of Chas. A. CARPENTER was stillborn in Columbus, Georgia, and was buried 20 DEC 1869 in Section A [sic -- probably Section 1 or Section 2; lot number not reported], as a non-resident of Columbus. The sexton was James LYNAH.
This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. It would seem more likely that this infant would be buried in the Old Cemetery section, either in the CARPENTER lot (Autry G-30), where the father is presumed to be buried, or the McCOLLISTER lot (Autry H-100), where the mother is buried.
