Ruth V. Ruhl, 101, of 1567 Garbry Ridge, Piqua, died at 4:40 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born October 11, 1906 in Shelby County to the late Mulford T. and Lula M. (Davis) Valentine. She married Dr. Levi A. Ruhl who preceded her in death in 1945.

Survivors include three grandchildren, James F. Ruhl, Rebecca L. Daily, Martha R. Hightower; six great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick L. Ruhl, a grandson, Ronald A. Ruhl, a sister, Thelma Matthews, and four brothers, Francis Valentine, Lloyd Valentine, Richard Valentine, and Clyde Valentine.

Mrs. Ruhl retired from the medical practice of Dr. William Trostel following thirty-seven years as his nurse and secretary. She was a member of the Covington Presbyterian Church, the Alpha Garden Club, and a former Trustee of the J.R. Clarke Public Library.

Her memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the Covington Presbyterian Church with Pastor Greg Kurtz officiating. Private interment will be in Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Covington Presbyterian Church, 30 N. Pearl St., Covington, OH 45318.
