BELOVED SENIOR CITIZEN, MRS. SANDERS DIES FEBRUARY 24th
Mrs. Cordelia Thrash Sanders of Iola, passed away February 24 at Raber Nursing Home in Flora. She was 91 years of age.
Mrs. Sanders was born April 28, 1874, near Sassafras Mound. Her rich full life was spent in and around Farina and Iola.
Five children mourn her passing. They are Mrs. Jeannette Hall; Mrs. Pearl Viseur; Mrs. Loyd O'Donel; Mrs. Rochelle Cochran; and Delmar Thrash. There are thirteen grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 30 Great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at the Iola Baptist Church with Rev. Hira Byers and Rev. Clyde Sinclair officiating.
Burial was in Keen's Chapel Cemetery with Gerbel Funeral Home in charge.
