Loraine, Ill., May 14.--Funeral services for Presley Hardy will be held this afternoon at 1:30 in the Tanner funeral home here and at 2 in the Loraine Christian church, conducted by the Rev. William Bailey of Fowler. Burial will be in Loraine cemetery.
Mr. Hardy, 79, died Friday afternoon at 3 in Blessing hospital, Quincy. He was born Feb. 5, 1871, at Mendon, a son of Sam and Patience Jenkins Hardy. He was a member of the Christian church here. He married Nora Calkins May 6, 1915.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Laverne Stoneking of Sutter; a brother, James Hardy of Loraine; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Stokes of Granby, Mo., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two children died in infancy. A brother, Samuel Hardy of Warsaw, died four weeks ago.
