Robert married Charlene Harward on August 26, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived and raised their children in Duarte, Califonia: Vickie Ewell, Wayne Stowell, Cherri Nelson, Debbie Brown, Tammy Brooks and Kimberly Kuchler.
Robert entered the Naval Air Force as a Naval Airman and served his country for four years. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved to learn. Some of talents included: photographer, gunsmith, fisherman, hunter, carpenter, leatherworker, knifemaker, and skilled mechanic.
Robert was an instructor in mechanics for troubled youth and taught woodworking night classes. He retired after serving for many years as an Engineer in California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Fern Ann Miller; daughter, Debbie Brown; granddaughters: Angela Brown and Kristena Houghtaling; grandson, Matthew Stowell; sister, Norma Jean Larson; brothers: Ralph Douglas Stowell and Allen Roy Stowell.
Family and friends may attend a viewing Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
