Elizabeth "Betty" Hoerr, 87, of Taylor died at 7:25 a.m. Saturday Jan. 13, 1996 in Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, IL.
Mrs Hoerr was born March 5, 1908, in Elgin, Iowa, a daughter of Fred and Rose Grimm Frieden. She married George Hoerr June 5, 1938 in Taylor. He died April 23, 1982.
A homemaker, Mrs. Hoerr was known for her cooking and baking. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Marvin (Joann) Wiegand of Taylor; three brothers, Fred Frieden of Kahoka, Dan Frieden of Quincy and Robert Frieden of Lincoln, Nebraska; three sisters, Lena Meyer of Quincy, Rose Hoerr of Taylor and Dorothy Ellison of Canton, four grandchildren, Steve Wiegand of Taylor, Mark and Philip Wiegand of Quincy and Dan Wiegand of Chesterfield, MO; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, William "Bill" Hoerr, and five brothers.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
