Departed this life January 13, 2008, Mrs. Bernice White Smith of Richmond.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Smith; one daughter, Terry Battle; two sons, Darick D. White and Jermaine L. Smith; one step-daughter, Crystal Smith; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Powell and Barbara Watson; two brothers Thomas White Jr. and Sherman White Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Mario Battle; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and other relatives and friends, among them Patricia Jackson and Lakeisha Camp.
Remains rested at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services were held Friday 1pm at Hood Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street, where remains laid in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Kevin McGill (Pastor) officiated. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
