Far Rockaway, June 2. -- Erasmus Nielsen, organist of St. Mary Star of the Sea R. C. Church, here, died yesterday in his home in Broad Channel. He was 53 (sic), a native of Kansas City, Mo., and had resided here for 30 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the church and of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Julia; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Tagen, and a son, Benjamin and two sisters, Hortense and Alice Nielsen, the opera singer. The funeral will be held Thursday from the Dierenger Chapel, with a requiem mass offered at 10 A. M. in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Sea Cemetery, Lawrence.
