Her husband, E. Louis Kurten and her parents Earnest and Clara Umland Callaway precede her in death.
Visitation was held Friday, December 8, 2006 from 4 to 7 pm at Canon Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services were Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 9:00am at Canon Funeral Home.
Interment followed at Canon Mathis Cemetery.
Louise met and married Louis Kurten. The lived in Houston and then moved to her parents home property and build a home. Louis opened a hardware store in Waller and Louise taught school for many years in the Waller Elementary School. Louise and Louis were both members of the First Baptist Church (now Waller Baptist Church) of Waller, Texas. Louise was a talented pianist and organist and she played these instruments for the church. Everyone who knew them loved her and Louis. Louise was a large contributor to when "The History of Waller, Texas" and "A History Of Waller County, Texas" books were compiled and published.
Louise lived to be 94 years and 1 month and 6 days old.
