Rubin Jerrels, Sr and Nell Hardee were married in Lafayette Co. 2 July, 1926, and all their children were born at Hines in Dixie County. They moved their family to Bronson, Levy Co., Fl. with the Crapps Timber Company, where they remained the rest of their lives. They were named Ma and Pa Levy County in 1986.
Rube had two brothers, Alex and James "Ped"; and two sisters, Caroline and Lou. Alex and Caroline are buried in Dixie County and Lou is buried at Jennings Lake in Gilchrist County.
They were both able to attend the first Jerrels/Coker Family Reunion in June, 1993 in Dixie Co. and visit the grave site of his parents at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Aunt Nell died six months later in Dec.
