VI. Emeline Whitney, b. in Southeast, N.Y., 16 Ap. 1819; married, 19 Dec. 1845, Lewis Ardalia Townsend, a dealer in boots and shoes, son of Ardalia Townsend, of Carmel, N.Y., where he was born 19 Feb. 1825. They dwelt at Carmel, and at Brewster's Station, N.Y. She died 24 March 1850, at Southeast, and was buried in the Drew Cemetery. He married (2d), 21 Dec. 1851, Julia A. Reynolds, dau. of Stephen Reynolds, of Southeast. He died 22 May 1875, at Brewster's Station, and was buried there.
