OBITUARY - Mrs. Frank Robert
Mrs. Rosalie Robert, beloved wife of Frank Robert, for many years a resident of the town of Amherst, entered into rest at her home in Buffalo on Saturday, November 1, 1924. An illness of about six weeks preceded her demise. The deceased was born in Getzville 70 years ago, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor Humbert, well-known pioneer residents of that section. In 1877 she became the wife of Frank Robert and they made their home in that locality until about fifteen years ago, when they moved to Buffalo. Mrs. Robert was devoted to her husband and family and the break in the family circle caused by her death can never be healed. She leaves to sorrow for her, her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Philip Bittler of Clarence Center; Mrs. Frederick Rich and Mrs. Leon J. Hinkley of Buffalo; and one son, Murray Robert of Getzville. A son, Benjamin, preceded her in recent years. There are also fourteen grandchildren to honor her memory. The funeral service was held from the family residence, 27 Hauf Street, Buffalo, on Tuesday morning at 10:15 o'clock, and at 11 o'clock at the Skinnersville church. Rev. A. W. Bourne, pastor of the Glenwood Avenue Baptist Church, of which the deceased had been a faithful member, was in charge. The remains were taken to rest among the scenes familiar since childhood, in the Skinnersville cemetery.
