Donald Beeman, 67, of Young Harris, GA, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2014 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison and Maxine Beeman; and his sister, Barbara Moore. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Jo Beeman; his brother, Douglas (Marie) Beeman; his sister Carrie Light; his daughter, Kristin (Leonard) Smith; his son, Michael (Lisa) Beeman; his son, Joshua (Ginny) Bartlum; his son, Noah Bartlum; and his ten grandchildren. He was raised in Vancouver/Seattle, WA and then went on to serve as a Navy Corpsman with Golf 3 in Vietnam. He later attended Duke University Physician Assistant Program. He used that to work as a Physician Assistant at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic for 38 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had recently retired to the mountains of North Georgia. He was loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life held at The Susan B. Harris Chapel at Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA.
