Actress. She was an American stage and film actress. She appeared in the role of a party guest with Claudette Colbert and Fredric March in the 1931 film drama "Honor Among Lovers." According to "Playbill," she is credited with seventeen New York City stage performances with the first being in 1921 with "Good Morning, Dearie." She specialized in musical comedies. In 1929 she appeared in the short-run of the Broadway play, "Aren't We All?" Her image appeared on the cover of "Playbill" for the 1931 short-run play, "Broadway Boy." Besides appearing on the stage in New York City, she appeared on stages throughout New England. She had a six-week role on the London stage in "She Loves Me Not." Born one of three children, she was the daughter of shoe salesman, James P. Beatty and Ellen Stanley. Her mother and only sister died within three weeks of each other in 1934. She divorced her first husband, William J. McGreal, in 1925. She married Julius M. Cohen, a mining engineer, in 1936.
