She was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Marion and Maggie Verlon (Lee) Scott. She had lived in Pittsburg County all of her life and in the High Hill community for more than 60 years. She married Fay Pool on Feb. 2, 1932, in Arpelar. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a housekeeper and McElvey's Laundry. She passed away at her home at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1987; one son, Harvey Pool, and eight brothers and sisters.
