It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Frances Bologna Barcelona announce her passing on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Mary Gene Barcelona Williams; son-in-law Ronald Charles Williams; sister, Pietra Brocato; grandchildren, Michelle Williams, Patricia Wampold and her husband Jeff, Theresa Williams and significant other Randall Bond, Cynthia Landry and her husband Ronald; and great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan, Addison and Ryan Wampold, Kendall Hudson, and Victoria and Lauren Landry. She was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, and a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Barcelona; parents, Eugene and Mary Lungaro Bologna; brother, Frank Marion Bologna; aunt, Fannie Ruiz; sister-in-law, Maria Bologna; brother-in-law, Samuel Brocato; nephews Eugene "Gene" Marion Bologna and Robert Brocato. A private family service was held at St. Joseph's Academy chapel on Friday, July 16, 2021, conducted by Fr. Cleo Milano. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Jeff Wampold, Kyle Wampold, Dylan Wampold, Ronald Landry, Paul Bologna, Samuel Brocato III, Mike Brocato, Gerald Triplett, and honorary pallbearer Randall Bond. The family would like to thank Dr. Roy Kadair for the countless years of exceptional care, and the medical staff at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for their support and care in her final days.
