Heinrich Börner last lived at Bohlendamm 4 in Hannover's Old Town (Altstadt). He was drafted into the German Wehrmacht in November 1939. For reasons unknown today, he was sentenced to death by a military tribunal and executed by firing squad at the Emmich-Cambrai-Kaserne in Hannover on 13 April 1940. His remains lie in the "Deserters" section of this cemetery in Abteilung 21.
