Actress. She will be best remembered for her notable roles in the films, "Loku Thaththa" (1983), "Chandi Raja" (1990), "Dalulana Gini" (1995), and "Salupata Ahasata 2" (2000). She was born in Sri Lanka on July 17, 1959. She began her acting career when she made her debut at the age of sixteen in the film, "Amaraneeya Adare" (1975). Besides, "Amaraneeya Adare" (1975), "Loku Thaththa" (1983), "Chandi Raja" (1990), "Dalulana Gini" (1995), and "Salupata Ahasata 2" (1990), her many other film credits include, "Doctor Susantha" (1980), "Binaree Saha Sudu Banda" (1984), "Mal Varusa" (1986), "Kavuluva" (1987), "Rasa Rahasak" (1988), "Badulu Kochchiya" (1989), "Uthura Dakuna" (1991), "Weda Barinam Wedak naha" (1991), Handana Kinkini" (1994), "Pavana Raluviya" (1994), "150 Mulleriyawa" (1994), "Vijaya Geethawa" (1994), "Chitti" (1995), Sathutai Kirula Ape" (1998), "Anduru Sewaneli" (1999), "Surapurata Kanyaviyak" (2002), "Aathma Warusha" (2015), "Dharmayuddhaya" (2017), "Athuru Mithuru Hari Apuru" (2018), "Father Of Independence: DS Nidhasa Piya" (2018), "Yalu Malu Yalu 2" (2018). She was also the recipient of the most popular emerging actress award at the 17th Sarasaviya Awards which was held at the Elphinstone Theater in Maradana, Sri Lanka, on April 30, 1990. She continued acting in both films and on television until her death. She passed away following an illness in Maharagama, Colombo, Sri Lanka, on May 26, 2021, at the age of 61. Her funeral was held at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour in Borella, Sri Lanka, and she was buried in Borella Kanattha General Cemetery in Colombo, Sri, Lanka.
