In the early morning of May 18, 2019, Our Matriarch, Inamae "Rusty" Blair, a lifelong resident of Stephens County, entered the presence of our Lord and Savior! The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and our hearts are overflowing with joy that we were at her side for her Homecoming! A funeral service will be held on Monday , May 20, 2019 at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Rocky Keck officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Rusty was born December 26, 1928 in Alma, OK to George W. and Lillie E. (Chaudoin) Roach. She was a graduate of Alma High School. She worked for Southwestern Bell and also Haggars. Rusty loved writing recipes, playing board games, including her favorite, "Wahoo", traveling, family reunions, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two daughters; Gayla and Frank Kelly, Duncan, OK and Dana Mullins, Duncan, OK; seven grandchildren; Dewayne Kelly and wife Tammy, Kevin Kelly and wife Holly, Leah Kelly, Mike Weeaks and wife Gianella, Jackie Martinez and husband Juan, Jennifer Sharp and husband Wes, and Brooke Mullins; also fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter on the way.
Rusty was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; Corbit Roach, Emitt Roach, Jearl Roach, and Edwin Roach; and three sisters; Irene Overstreet, Lorene Hill, and Deletta Miller.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dewayne Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Juan Martinez, Garrett Matthews, Austin Kelly, Wes Sharp, and Connor Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Sharp, Kooper Kelly, and Kaleb Mullins.
Even through her physical pain, early in the evening, she continued to be the Christian example and head of our family as she raised her hand and praised the very one she'd always lived for and taught us about!
Our tears fall and hearts hurt but we are so very proud and honored to be the family of God's brand new angel.
