Alexander Strain was the son of David Strain, Jr. and Elizabeth Allen Strain. He was buried close to his parents. He is likely named for David's brother.

This very worn and acid rain washed white marble gravestone photo was taken in June 1996. I believe it says:

In
Memory of
ALEXANDER STRAIN
Departed this life
April 9 1822
In the 16th year of his
Age

Note: the Work Progress Administration inventoried this cemetery on 11 August 1936 by Scioto M. Herndon but erroneously listed that Alexander died in the 46th year of his age. He died in the 16th year, instead.
