Mrs. Margaret Lee Parker, 91, died Sunday (August 12, 2001) afternoon at Baptist Village after a short illness.

She was a native of Screven County but had live most of her life in Ware County. She was the daughter of the late James Weslely Lee and Hattie Archer Lee and the widow of the late John Chapman Parker. Her family was a long time pioneer family who contributed a lot to Ware County.

She was retired with R.L. Walker Chevrolet as office manager. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church. She was a past member of Golden K Kiwanis Club of Waycross.

She is survived by four sister in laws; Christine Cady Lee,Eleanor P. Lee both of Waycross, Alice P. Davis of New Symnra Beach,FL., Elizabeth P. Middleton of Midway, two cousins; Dorothy Smith Sedgewick, Ellen Long both of Waycross, and several other cousins.

A funeral service is planned for 11:00 am Monday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
