Shirley was employed by Weis Market from September 1966 until she retired in August of 1997. She was an avid bingo player at the former "Rainbow Room" in Allentown; a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and a lifelong member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Wescosville and Macungie.
Survivors: Son Greg A. Ruch and his wife Donna M. of Macungie; two grandsons Joshua G. Ruch and his wife Diana and Christopher D. Ruch; one great-grandson Phoenix L. Ruch. Shirley was predeceased by her brother William Geist and sisters JoAnn Haffner and Julie Brunner.
Burial will be private, funeral arrangements by the Sell-Herron Funeral Home in Allentown.
