Valerie Valentine Towers, 72 years young, of Big Sandy TX, formerly of Owego NY, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, unexpectedly on February 12, 2021. Val was the only child of Carl and Elsie Valentine, born June 16, 1948, and grew up in Drexel Hill PA, graduating from Upper Darby High School.
Valerie was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Paul A. Towers, Jr. She lived in Owego for 37 years, moving to Big Sandy, TX Oct. 2019. She is survived by her Aunt Phyllis Stille; Cousins Patty Anne, Sue, Maureen, Kathy, Ruthie; many more cousins and their families; her best friends Cherlynn, Char, MaryAnn and Johnny, Sharon, the Wheeler, King, and Kobziewicz families and other close friends too numerous to name, along with her adored cat, Smudgee.
Valerie knew what it meant to truly love people, and practiced the life of Christ. People felt His love through her hugs and kindness; she was such an encourager.
Her memorial service will be held at Triumphant Life Church 1511 Davis Ave. Endwell, NY on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1 pm. A graveside service at Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY will be held following the memorial
