DEATH of an AGED LADY,--
Mrs. Catharine Summers died at her home near Ellerton, this Valley, on Wednesday of last week, in the 85th year of her age. The deceased united herself with the Reformed church at the age of 18 years. She was a consistent member of that church for 66 years. One brother, Capt. Daniel Main of Hagerstown survives her. She married at the age of 18 years to Abram Summers of Ellerton, where the couple all their lifetime resided. She was the mother of fourteen children, eleven of whom are still living, and the grandmother of seventy-seven, of whom fifty-six are living, and the great-grandmother of seventy-two, of whom sixty-two are living. Her husband died in 1856, and she was therefore a widow for a long period of thirty-two years.
