Franklin Guiney, aged 74 years, died at the home of his son-in-law, John C. Wilson, this borough. The deceased was a stone mason by trade and for a number of years resided near Birdell. He is survived by one son and three daughters; Albert Guiney, Brandamore; Mrs. Cora Fay, Mrs. Bella Wilson, Mrs. Bertha Reiveling; also one brother, Jefferson Guiney, of Rocklyn. The deceased was stricken with paralysis whle attending a circus in Coatesville last summer.
Ibid: November 4, 1913 In the death a few days agoe of Franklin Guinney (sic), in Coatesville, another old veteran of the Civil War has answered the final roll call on earth. He was a private of Company G., 124th Pennsylvania Volunteers, and for some time lived near Birdell, this county, but removed to Coatesville. He was about 75 years old, and wa a brother of Jefferson Guinney (sic),also a veteran of the 124th P.V.
