Cora married Lee Lucas, son of William and Susan Wilson Lucas sometime prior to 1895.
In 1895 Cora and Lee were blessed with their only child, a daughter, Birdie Agnes Lucas (Hughes Stone).
Cora became a widow December 9, 1920 when Lee passed away unexpectedly, while they were residing and working on the Latham farm on Frankfort Road in Fayette County, Kentucky.
Cora later moved back to live with her mother who had married James W. Haley and moved to Lexington, Kentucky. Cora had one half-brother, John C. Haley, Sr..
Cora passed away from heart problems and pneumonia, complications of diabetes. She died April 13, 1927 at the home of her mother and step-father on Magoffin Street in Lexington, Kentucky.
Services were held April 15, 1927 by Rev. J. Luther Stone and Cora was laid to rest in the Lexington Cemetery that afternoon.
