Actress. María Celia Ovejero Martínez, known artistically as Chela Castro, was an Argentine actress who developed a large part of her career in Mexico. She was part of the golden age of Mexican cinema. She made her debut as a stage actress in the play "Dulce enemiga" in 1950. In 1957 she moved to Mexico, acting in telenovelas such as "El derecho de nacer" (1966), "Muchacha italiana viene a casarse" (1971-1973), "Pobre Clara" (1975), "No temas al amor" (1980), "Te sigo amando" (1996-1997) and "Amigas y rivales" (2001). During the 80's, she worked with her husband Raúl Astor on the comedy show "No empujen."
