Japanese inventor and businessman. He had 84 invention patents, 13 foreign patents, and 35 practical new proposals in his lifetime, including Toyota-type wood iron mixed power loom (Toyota-type steam loom) and non-stop shuttle-type automatic loom (G-type automatic loom).

Founded Toyoda Boshoku, Toyota Boshoku Factory, and Toyota Industries Corporation (currently Toyota Industries), and is the founder of the Toyota Group.
