LIZA MULLINS SCARBERRY, 84 years of age of Pounding Mill, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Commonwealth Senior Living, Claypool Hill, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late William and Tillie (Whitt) Mullins. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Scarberry was a fan of Horseback Riding, Croquet, Bluegrass Festivals and especially her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scarberry; 3-Sons: Paul Scarberry Jr., Frank Scarberry and Joe Scarberry; 2-Daughters: Linda Scarberry and Michelle Scarberry; 5-Sisters: Susan Blankenship, Pearl Coleman, Maggie Hurley, Mary Blankenship and Florence Tester; 2-Brothers: Harry Mullins and Dave Mullins; several Half-Sisters and Brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ebbie (Ken) Hampton of Grundy, VA; her sons, Danny Scarberry of Pounding Mill, VA, Brad Scarberry of Winston Salem, NC, Clell (Amy) Scarberry of Tuscaloosa, AL, William (Rita) Scarberry of Cedar Bluff, VA; her brother, Flem (Roxie) Mullins of Hurley, VA; her Sister-in-Law: Josephine Mullins.

Also, survived by 16-Grandchildren, 15-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for LIZA MULLINS SCARBERRY will be conducted Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders: Danny Hurley, Josh Junior Justus, Zeb Justus, Will Matney, George Thomason, David Lester, Roy Lester and other Elders of the Little Dove Older Regular Baptist Church officiating with burial to follow in the Scarberry Cemetery on Guesses Fork, Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Hurst Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA, Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday evening at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Monk, Johnny Gray, Darnell Justice and Fleming Mullins Jr.
