DALE WHITWORTH COLLINS, 93, passed away September 12, 2007. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 14 and services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 15 at West Marks Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial in Forrest Memorial Park, Batesville, MS. Mrs. Collins was the first pianist at West Marks Baptist Church. She sang alto in the church choir until recent years. She attended all-day singings where she enjoyed singing old harp. She lived a God-fearing life, devoting her time to her church and family. She was a member of the Home Extension Club, WMU, and served as church clerk at West Marks Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vermon Logan Collins; two brothers, and a sister. She is survived by a daughter, Belinda C. Simpson (Steve) of Clarksdale, MS; three sons, Doug Collins (Joan) of Marks, MS, Gary Collins (Mary Catherine) of Douglasville, GA, and Cloray Collins (Peggy) of Sparta, TN; a brother, Lemartis Whitworth of Clarksdale, MS; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
