Husband of Rhoda Brown
Died at the home of his son, O.W. Brown, in Tilton, Iowa, January 4th, Isaac Brown, aged 85 years, 4 months. For many years he had been a thorough church worker, being gifted with a voice surpassed by none, which was used in singing the praises of his Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. In his illness, which as been for years, he loved to hear of the good work going on. He was a kind and loving father, a devoted husband, a neighbor and a friend to all who knew him. He suffered for many years, and the prayer of his heart was "Lord come quickly" He leaves an aged wife, a son, and two daughters to mourn his loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Westfall of Thornburg assisted by Rev Keyser of Keswick. The remains were laid to rest in the Dresden Cemetery.

Besides the children listed below he also had a son named Orthello born in 1851, a daughter named Experience who was born in 1856 in Ohio, and another daughter named Orthella who was born in Ohio in 1858 and may have died before 1870 as she is not in the census.
