He was the son of the famous actor Leopoldo "Chato" Ortín, a great figure from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, and actress Aurora Campuzano. He had an acting career of more than 75 years. He became famous for voicing the protagonists of successful American series, such as "Gilligan's Island," "Mork & Mindy" and "The Three Stooges," among others. On television he participated in several telenovelas, such as "Mundo de juguete," "Cuando llega el amor," "Alcanzar una estrella II," "Soñadoras," "Carita de ángel," and "Niña de mi corazón," among others.
