Services for Sarah Elbayoumy, 16, Lawrence, were Monday at the Islamic Center Masjid of the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City in Kansas City, Mo. Burial was in the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.
Sarah died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in a car accident in Columbia, Mo.
She was born Nov. 16, 1987, in Silver Spring, Md., the daughter of Maggie Khater and Moussa Elbayoumy.
Sarah was a junior at Free State High School, where she participated in Model United Nations, Chamber Choir, Spanish Club, Multicultural Club and Key Club. She volunteered at Pinckney School.
Survivors include her parents and a sister, Nora Elbayoumy, all of the home.
