May 25, 2020:

Jerldean Pugh, age 95, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on May 25, 2020 at University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Jerldean was born August 22, 1924, in Diggins, Missouri, the daughter of the late John Henry Murphy and the late Gladys Irene (Hunt) Murphy. She was united in marriage to Nelson Edward Pugh and this union lasted for twenty-six years. Nelson preceded her in death in 1973.

Jerry worked for forty years at International, Samuels and Stride Rite Shoe Factories. Her sewing skills provided many Callaway County residents with a perfect outfit. Jerry was a life long member of First Christian Church of Fulton. She loved vacationing in Wyoming, Colorado and Texas.

Jerry had eight Yorkshire puppies that she loved to care for. Each of her siblings remembered that the help Jerry gave their mother made a great difference in their lives.

Jerry is survived by one son, Eddie Pugh (Marsha) of Fulton, Missouri; brother, Russell Ned Murphy (Scarlett) of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Ruby Jane Bartley (Jim), Mary Lou Atkinson (John) and Kathleen Sprague (James), all of the Fulton area; grandchildren, Christopher Pugh (Jackie) of Fort Worth, Texas and Cassie Westlake (Bryan) of Fort Worth, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Westlake and Cooper Westlake; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry was also preceded in death by her parents; husband of twenty-six years, Nelson; brothers, William Dale Murphy, John Lynford Murphy, Donald Ray Murphy and Jimmy Ray Murphy; sister, Lois Delphine Murphy.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Mindy Kiepe officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of the donors choice.
