Cyril J. "Cy" Maher, entered into eternal life on August 29, 2018 surrounded by the love of his life, Margaret J. "Peg" Maher, nee Hindes; and his 7 children, Dan (Janet), Peggy (Jim) O'Keefe, Michael (Karen), Patti (Paul) Tyska, Beth (Gary) Ruske, Kathleen (Tony) Falco, and Maureen (Ron) Muchowicz; many of his 18 grandchildren, Jimmy, Danny, Courtney, the late Sean, PJ, Colleen, Michael, Katie, Matthew, Maggi, Lucas, Frankie, Johnny, Olivia, Max, Molli, Mason, and Machlen; and 9 great grandchildren, Brayden, Robert, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Brigid, Carson, Lena, and Maeve. Cy lived a great life, was a devout and active member of St. John Brebeuf Parish, was a recipient of the Chicago Catholic Archdiocese Christifideles Award, was past president of the SJB Holy Name Society, and SJB Festival Co-Chair. Cy was an uncle, brother, cousin and loyal friend to many. Visitation at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles on Friday from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
