Harriet O'Neil Crehan, the daughter of Thomas Crehan and Harriet O'Neil, was part of a famous theatrical family. Her sisters were actresses Ada Rehan and Kate Byron. Her brothers Arthur and William were well-known stage managers. She married leading man Richard Fulton Russell. They had one son, Byron Fulton Russell, who was also an actor.

Mrs. R. Fulton Russell, an actress who belonged to the old school of stars, died yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Oliver Doud Byron, at Long Branch, N. J. She was a sister of Ada Rehan. She was 60 years of age. She played leading roles with Oliver Doud Byron, John T. Raymond and Kyrle Bellew. Mrs. Russell was last seen In "Paid In Full." She was known to all of the old time lovers of the stage, and her earliest known appearance was at Niblo's Garden In 1867, when she was seen In "Leah the Forsaken." Her son, Russel Fulton, died last year. She was an aunt to Arthur Byron.
